Prophetic Reflection
In a moment of prayer and quiet reflection, the Lord spoke the word "LIFT " to my spirit as a framework for interceding on behalf of others.
This prophetic devotional teaching is offered as a meditation, prayer resource, and encouragement for those called to lift others before God.
Lifting Others in Prayer
I heard the Spirit of the LORD say,
“Lift their names to the Names of God.”
When we pray for individuals, families, ministries, situations, or entities, we lift their names to the revealed names and nature of God. We bring human need before divine identity.
L — Love + Leverage
  • Prayer is disciplined love flowing out of divine obedience.
  • We pray because God has instructed us to lift one another, bear one another’s burdens, and intercede on behalf of others.
  • Prayer also increases leverage, advantage, and spiritual support for the subject or recipient. Through prayer, we partner with heaven on behalf of others.
I — Infusion • Interjection • Interruption
  • Prayer is the infusion of grace and mercy on behalf of another.
  • It is the interjection of our God-given authority as believers who stand and war in prayer for others.
  • It is also the interruption and interference of the plans of the enemy against the individual being lifted in prayer.
F — Freedom + Faith for Victory
  • Prayer is a heartfelt and earnest appeal to God for freedom, deliverance, healing, restoration, and breakthrough on behalf of others.
  • We also add our faith to theirs, standing in agreement with heaven and believing for victory in their lives.
T — Trust the Trinity to Manifest Triumph
Prayer requires us to trust the fullness of the Godhead to move, manifest, empower, reveal, heal, strengthen, and bring triumph according to the will of God.
God gives
Jesus does
The Holy Spirit empowers us to give and do

Prophetic Reflection

To LIFT others in prayer is to lovingly bring their names before the NAMES of God, adding our faith, authority, compassion, and obedience to the work of heaven on their behalf.
Prayer is not passive.
It is participation with God.
